Multipurpose Pontoon,a floating structural units, with good interchangeable, has extensive adaptability.New type pontoon-to-pontoon connectors are adopted and their plane dimensions modularized, the pontoons can be connected up easily and quickly in lengthwise, transverse, T-shape and angular connecting configurations.

The flat decking of the pontoon is strong enough to bear the loads of heavy-duty equipment and vehicle directly. The pontoon bottom may be stranded to bear the loads.

Multipurpose Pontoon can be used for erection of highway floating bridges, ferrying barges, floating quays, jetty; for, in railway construction, erection of temporary floating bridges, floating piers, ferry raft; for assembly of floating crane, drilling and piling platforms on water; and for construction of a helicopter landing platform, in wartime, for logistic supply between warship and islands.

There are antiskid strips welded on the deck. And every pontoon unit has a manhole hatch for the crew to examine and repair.
